Notts County have signed midfielder Darius Lipsiuc from Stoke City on a three-year deal for an undisclosed fee. The 20-year-old is a Republic of Ireland Under-21 international and has nine caps for his country at that level. He spent the previous season on loan at Solihull Moors, where he made 33 National League appearances, scoring eight goals and providing four assists. The club's director of football, Richard Montague, told the club's website that Lipsiuc is a powerful and athletic midfielder who is capable of scoring goals and playing in several roles. Montague also stated that the club believes Lipsiuc has the potential to develop significantly during his contract.
