Former Telstar captain Danny Bakker is set to join South Korean club FC Anyang. The 31-year-old Dutch defender had openly expressed his desire for a foreign adventure, and while Telstar wanted to retain him, his contract ended this week. Indonesian club Bali United made an unsuccessful last-minute attempt to sign the player. Bakker has signed a contract for an unknown duration with FC Anyang. The club is currently in seventh place in the K-League, South Korea's top division, and he will travel to the country shortly to be presented. The former Netherlands U21 international, who has three caps, had also been linked with FC Utrecht. His market value is estimated by Transfermarkt at €450k.
