Globo.com reported that Danilo has refused a proposal from the CBF to take on a management position working with coach Carlo Ancelotti. Danilo may reconsider if the proposal is still available next year. A conversation is taking place at Flamengo for Danilo to remain after retirement, but it is currently informal, with no defined role or formal offer for a post-career position.

Danilo received an invitation from Carlo Ancelotti to assume a technical or administrative position in the Seleção Brasileira's structure, should he choose to end his playing career at the end of the season. Sources state that Ancelotti has not withdrawn the invitation and continues to count on Danilo for the future. Danilo has declared that he will most likely retire in 2027, after which he will decide whether to accept Ancelotti's invitation.

According to Globo.com, Danilo will be able to sign a pre-contract with another team in June and has already received some inquiries, some of which concern a possible return to Europe. No specific clubs are named for these inquiries.
