Daniel Vašulín, a 27-year-old Czech striker, has become the first new signing for Zbrojovka Brno for the upcoming season, joining the club on a multi-year contract. Zbrojovka Brno paid millions to Viktoria Plzeň to secure the transfer. According to Zbrojovka's sporting director Martin Jiránek, Vašulín is at an ideal age for football, has consistently demonstrated his familiarity with the top league and his ability to score, and fits the player profile they were looking for. Jiránek also believes Vašulín's experience in European competitions will be a great benefit to the team. The player stated that he felt significant interest and trust from Zbrojovka from the initial talks, and that the contact with the club's management and coach, along with the vision they presented, was decisive for him. Martin Vozábal, the sporting director of Plzeň, explained that because Vašulín did not have the playing time he had hoped for in the spring, they mutually agreed not to prevent his departure if an offer interesting to both sides was made, and that Zbrojovka met these parameters. In the 2025/2026 domestic league season, Vašulín scored 9 goals in 20 appearances. The centre-forward, who has 2 caps for the Czechia U20 team, has a current Transfermarkt market value of €750k.
