Avantigialli.com reported that Palermo sporting director Carlo Osti contacted his Modena counterpart, Nereo Bonato, yesterday evening to ask about the availability of Italian defender Daniel Tonoli. The same source states that the Sicilian club has reportedly identified the player, who was born in 2002, as a main objective for strengthening the squad for manager Filippo Inzaghi and has submitted a proposal of 4.5 million euros. Inzaghi is said to value Tonoli's tactical versatility, given that he can play in both defense and midfield. His offensive contribution is also a reason his profile is considered appealing; he was Modena's top scorer from open play last season, scoring five goals in 35 Serie B appearances. Tonoli joined Modena in February 2025 and is contracted until June 2028. His current market value on Transfermarkt is €4.00m. The defender has also been associated with interest from Inter and Torino.
