Rangers have signed former Sunderland midfielder Dan Neil as a free agent. Hull City and West Ham United were also interested in Neil. The 24-year-old English player was in talks with Southampton last week and, according to Keith Downie, appeared to have chosen to join the English Championship club before circumstances changed, allowing Rangers to secure an agreement. Neil has been capped three times by England at U20 level and has a current market value of €4.50m on Transfermarkt.
