Dan Casey Transfer from Arsenal U18 to Crystal Palace

Journalist Bobby Manzi (writing for 'Daily Mail' and 'The Sun') reports that Crystal Palace (the Eagles) and Arsenal have agreed on a compensation payment for the transfer of attacking player Dan Casey. Although Casey has been without a club since the beginning of July, Arsenal is entitled to compensation for his development. The exact amount of the compensation is not known.

Crystal Palace are reportedly close to agreeing the amount of compensation to pay to Arsenal for Dan Casey. The talented young attacking midfielder has been strongly linked with Palace, and it seems a deal is now close for him to move from the Emirates Stadium to Selhurst Park. Casey rejected a new contract offer from Arsenal, making him out of contract. Both Palace and Norwich City made contact with Arsenal for Dan Casey. Arsenal also tried to keep him with a new offer, but talks are ongoing. Casey scored 20 goals with U18 last season.

Crystal Palace has initiated discussions with Arsenal regarding a potential deal to acquire Dan Casey. Arsenal is attempting to retain the 17-year-old by proposing a new contract, as he is presently out of contract. Negotiations are ongoing, but Casey may depart if a compensation package is settled. Last season, Dan Casey scored 20 goals with the U18 team. Besides Crystal Palace, Norwich City has also shown interest in signing Casey, which makes him a sought-after player this summer. Arsenal's attempts to keep him are part of their strategy to develop young talents, but Casey might be considering opportunities for more immediate first-team action at clubs like Palace or Norwich. The situation remains dynamic, with both clubs waiting for Arsenal's decision on a compensation package to conclude a possible transfer.
