Castellón and Almería have come to terms for Daijiro Chirino's transfer to the Andalusian team. Chirino, a Dutch defender, is set to leave Castellón after two years, during which he was instrumental in the team's defense, aiding their ascent to the Segunda División and helping them maintain their status there. Chirino was consistently in the starting lineup, playing a crucial role in both the three-man defense under coach Dick Schreuder and the four-man defense led by Johan Plat. This transfer is the second departure for Castellón this summer, following Raúl Sánchez's move to Necaxa in Mexico. With Chirino's departure, Castellón will need to bring in at least one new defender for the right side, and French player Jeremy Mellot is expected to fill that role.
