Halifax manager John McGrath said he would like to extend midfielder Cruz Allen's loan deal for the rest of the season. Allen is in the second month of his stay at the club. McGrath said he believes he has a relationship with the people at Derby that is good enough for them to know and trust him with the player's development.

Cruz Allen has extended his stay at Halifax Town by another month. Derby want their younger players to get competitive football to assist their progression into the first team.

Welsh-English midfielder Cruz Allen has moved to Halifax Town from Derby County on a short-term youth loan. The 19-year-old, who made three substitute appearances for the Rams in the Sky Bet Championship last season, will join the National League side for a month to gain his first senior experience. The transfer follows a recent National League Cup match where Allen played for Derby's Under-21s against Halifax, and he will be available for The Shaymen's upcoming fixture against Altrincham. Allen has 18 caps and one goal for Wales U19, joined Derby in July 2025 and is under contract until June 2028. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €100k.
