Rapid wants to part ways with Cristian Ignat. According to PRO TV, the player refuses to look for another team. Cristian Ignat has two years left on his contract with Rapid and was loaned to Petrolul in the second half of last season. He has not played any minutes in the current league season under Daniel Pancu.

Claudiu Tudor stated that Petrolul is interested in Cristian Ignat for a potential swap deal that involves Robert Sălceanu. Discussions with Rapid are ongoing regarding this possibility.

According to digisport.ro, Cristian Ignat is among five players who are expected to leave Rapid in the winter transfer window. Ignat is one of four players who are expected to leave on loan. Ignat has not played in the new season and was injured for a long period with a shoulder injury. He is valued at 1 million euro.

Dumitru Dragomir is impressed with the defender from Rapid and claims he will be sold for 'over 20 million euros', making him by far the most expensive Romanian footballer to leave the Superliga.
