Conor Gallagher Transfer from Atlético Madrid to Inter

Conor Gallagher can leave Atletico Madrid if a suitable agreement for all parties can be reached, with Inter Milan having been linked with a move. Any club interested in signing him would reportedly want a loan with an option to buy in the summer. Gallagher earns up to £200,000-a-week, and whether that salary is subsidised could be a factor in a transfer back to the Premier League. While Atletico would be open to a permanent move for an asking price of around €30million (£26.2m / $35.3m), it is believed that a loan is more likely. A source close to the situation explained to TEAMtalk that Atletico acknowledges they cannot provide Gallagher with the football he wants and deserves. Gallagher spoke with his manager Diego Simeone about his future before the Christmas break. Simeone would prefer to keep Gallagher but acknowledges the player's desire to go to the World Cup and that he may not be guaranteed the regular game time necessary to be in contention. Fraser Fletcher explained that Gallagher would be interested in a move back to the Premier League.

Inter Milan are interested in Conor Gallagher, a central midfielder who is expected to leave Atletico Madrid in January. After speaking with the manager and the club's hierarchy about his future, Atletico have agreed the England international can depart if their demands are met. Sources have confirmed that Manchester United retain their interest, and it is also said that Tottenham and Newcastle are monitoring the situation.
