Halifax Town have signed 24-year-old striker Conor Carty from Waterford, a League of Ireland Premier Division team he joined in January 2026. A former Republic of Ireland under-21 international, Carty scored one goal in four caps at that level. He was previously part of the Wolves academy and was also a player for Bolton Wanderers, for whom he made one appearance. Carty has also had loan spells at Gateshead and Doncaster Rovers. In the 2025/2026 season, he made 14 league appearances for Waterford and did not score. His market value is €100k, according to Transfermarkt.
