CSKA Sofia nearly signed 24-year-old Chilean-French international Clemente Montes, but the deal did not proceed. CSKA Sofia intended to sign the winger as a free agent and had offered him millions. However, Montes rejected the multi-million dollar offer from CSKA Sofia and will instead renew his contract with Universidad Católica. His previous contract was due to end at the close of the year, but the player decided to extend it until December 2027. Montes, who has been with Universidad Católica since January 2021, has four caps for Chile and a current market value of €1.00m, according to Transfermarkt.
