Tuttomercato reports that Avellino's 26-year-old Italian central defender, Claudio Manzi, is nearing a permanent transfer to Scafatese. Manzi recently returned from a loan spell at Monopoli. The player is expected to sign a three-year contract with Scafatese, which is a Serie C club. Scafatese is said to have moved ahead of Monopoli in securing the player. Monopoli had been interested in bringing Manzi back following his loan spell in the last six months. Pescara and Catania were also reportedly interested in the defender. His market value on Transfermarkt is currently €200k.
