Bild reports that Claudio Kammerknecht is a candidate for a potential departure or loan because of limited prospects for playing time.

According to Bild, an early contract extension for Claudio Kammerknecht was blocked by sporting director Sören Gonther. The publication reports that this extension was reportedly pushed for by coach Thomas Stamm. Kammerknecht's contract runs until the summer.

Claudio Kammerknecht is being heavily courted, he is also an option in the center of defense for the new coach.
