Asteras Tripolis is nearing an agreement with Djurgården for the transfer of Christos Almyras for a fee exceeding €1 million, plus bonuses. The deal will be one of the most profitable in the Greek club's history. The 21-year-old Greek U21 international midfielder has four caps for the side. Olympiacos had also shown interest in him. He is expected to move just one year after being signed for a low fee from Super League 2 side Makedonikos. The deal is expected to be finalized in the coming hours, after which Almyras will travel to Sweden to complete the transfer and join his new club. Almyras's contract with Asteras was set to expire in June 2028, and according to Transfermarkt, his current valuation is €500k.
