An Emirati club made a strong effort to sign Czech forward Christophe Kabongo from Viktoria Plzeň and was prepared to pay approximately €6m. Viktoria Plzeň rejected the approaches and decided to keep the 23-year-old. Kabongo, who has been capped once for Czechia, joined the club in July 2024 and his contract runs until 2028. His market value is estimated at €2.20m by Transfermarkt.
