Energie Cottbus, a newly promoted club preparing for the second division, has announced Christian Kinsombi as its first new signing for the coming season. The 26-year-old German-Congolese attacking player is arriving from Hansa Rostock on a free transfer because his contract is expiring. In the previous third-division season, Kinsombi recorded seven scorer points. Head coach Claus-Dieter Wollitz expressed satisfaction with the transfer, and stated that Kinsombi fits the style of football the club wants to play. The coach also described the player as fast, versatile, and able to play centrally, on the wing, or as a forward. Kinsombi, who had joined Hansa Rostock in July 2023, has a current market value of €300k, according to Transfermarkt.
