According to its Instagram account, Konyaspor announced the transfer of Chidozie Awaziem, a Nigerian central defender, from FC Nantes. He has signed a contract that runs until June 30, 2028. A transfer fee of one million euros was involved.

According to Sacha Tavolieri, Chidozie Awaziem is transferring from FC Nantes to Konyaspor in the Süper Lig. FC Nantes will receive €1M for the defender, who signed a two-year contract with an option for an additional year. An official announcement is expected later tonight.

According to Ouest-France, Chidozie Awaziem has officially left FC Nantes to join Konyaspor in Turkey. Awaziem decided to leave after Nantes' relegation because he wanted to continue playing at the top level and did not intend to play in the second division. The planned salary reduction following the club's relegation also influenced his decision. Awaziem was under contract with FC Nantes until June 30, 2028, and his transfer helps the club reduce its wage bill.
