Nigerian international Chidozie Awaziem, 29, wants to leave FC Nantes because he is unhappy with the automatic decrease in his salary after the team's relegation to Ligue 2. The central defender is expected to sign with Turkish club Konyaspor. The deal would be until June 2028 and would earn Nantes around one million euros. Awaziem, who joined Nantes in July 2025, has been capped 40 times for Nigeria, scoring two goals. His current market value is estimated by Transfermarkt at €2.50m.
