Cheltenham Town are set to sign former Rangers midfielder Charlie McCann as their first new signing of the summer, which would reunite the player with manager Steve Cotterill, under whom he has previously played. The 24-year-old started his youth career at Coventry City before spending four years at Manchester United, and moved to Rangers in 2021 for a reported fee of £750,000. He spent the last season with Barrow, where he was under contract for another 12 months, making 38 appearances and scoring five goals. McCann has been capped five times by Northern Ireland at the U21 level. According to Transfermarkt, he has a current market value of €150k.
