César Gelabert leaving Toulouse?
César Gelabert has emerged as the primary target for Sporting de Gijón in the current transfer window. Following the acquisition of Jonathan Dubasin, the Gijón team is concentrating its efforts on negotiating an agreement with Toulouse. The French club has already turned down several offers, the most recent exceeding one million euros, yet negotiations between the two sides are ongoing. The option to purchase, valued at two million euros, is set to expire this Monday, June 23, contrary to previous beliefs that it would be on June 30. The rojiblanco club is aiming to reduce this amount. The Asturian organization is assessing its financial limits, with insiders suggesting that the French team might consider a proposal in the region of 1.5 million euros, along with a percentage of any future sale included in the new contract. Conversely, the French side maintains that two million euros is the minimum acceptable offer. Gerardo García, a representative from Orlegi Sports, attended a meeting in Toulouse, and although no agreement was reached, he came away with the impression that a purchase was feasible.
