Qarabağ has announced the signing of Cebrail Makreckis from Ferencváros and confirmed that negotiations between the two clubs have been successfully concluded. The 26-year-old Latvian-German right-back has signed a contract with the Azerbaijani club that is valid until 2029. Makreckis joined Ferencváros in July 2023 and made 74 appearances in the NB I, where he scored 2 goals and provided 7 assists. The former Latvia U19 international has a current Transfermarkt market value of €1.00m and had recently attracted interest from several Turkish clubs, including Samsunspor and Trabzonspor.
