Voetbalprimeur.nl reports that Sparta Rotterdam has exercised the purchase option for Finnish international Casper Terho. Terho signs a contract for the next four seasons at Sparta Rotterdam. He had been on loan at the club from the Belgian club OH Leuven since the winter transfer window of 2026. The fee for the acquisition has not been disclosed.

Casper Terho, a 22-year-old winger from Finland, will be loaned from OH Leuven to Sparta Rotterdam for the rest of the season, and the deal includes an option to buy for Sparta. On the club's website, technical director Gerard Nijkamp explained that the team specifically sought reinforcement on the flanks this winter due to the departure of Ayoub Oufkir. Nijkamp added that Sparta had been following Terho for a long time and had attempted to add him to the squad last summer, at which point Go Ahead was also interested in the player. The loan deal has now been completed six months later. The Finnish international has earned three caps for his country and has made 12 appearances in the Jupiler Pro League this season. His contract with Oud-Heverlee Leuven is valid until June 30, 2028, and his current market value is €1.50m, according to Transfermarkt.
