Ajax Amsterdam is reportedly interested in Caspar Jander, and a transfer fee between 20 and 25 million euros is under discussion. According to information from BILD, Jander is also seeking a departure from Southampton because the targeted promotion to the Premier League is hardly achievable with a current ten-point deficit, and because he reportedly does not feel particularly comfortable personally.

According to transfer journalist Florian Plettenberg, Ajax is interested in 22-year-old German midfielder Caspar Jander. The Southampton regular is being closely monitored by the Amsterdam club as he reportedly desires a move next summer, feeling he is ready for the next step in his career. Plettenberg notes that RB Leipzig and VfB Stuttgart are also interested, in addition to clubs from the Premier League. The journalist estimates he will cost between fifteen and twenty-five million euros. Jander, who has been capped three times for Germany's U21 team, joined Southampton in August 2025 and has a contract until June 2028. In the current season, he has made 28 domestic league appearances, scoring two goals. He moved to Southampton from Nürnberg for a reported base fee of €11-12 million, and his current Transfermarkt valuation is €10 million.
