Bari is reportedly in advanced negotiations with Sassuolo to sign Cas Odenthal. The club is seeking reinforcements during the January transfer window. Discussions for the Dutch central defender, who was born in 2000, have intensified recently. Odenthal played a key role in Sassuolo's promotion last season but is not currently being selected regularly by coach Fabio Grosso, having made only one appearance in Serie A this season. The defender joined Sassuolo in July 2024 and has a contract until June 2027. He has represented the Netherlands at the U16 level. Spezia and Sampdoria have also recently been linked with the player. His valuation on Transfermarkt is currently €2.0 million. Sassuolo signed him from Como for a fee that was reported to be €1.2 million.
