The values offered by Grêmio were not satisfactory to the player's staff. Grêmio is preparing for a new round of negotiations and acknowledges it will increase the values, while also reinforcing the promise to pay all outstanding amounts owed to Vinícius's agents. Currently, there is a verbal understanding among all parties for a two-season extension, but an agreement on salary, signing bonuses, and awards is still required. Carlos Vinícius's contract with Grêmio is valid until the end of this year, which permits him to sign a pre-contract with another club. Grêmio's intention is to prevent this from happening and to retain the player until December 2028.
