Mexican left-back Carlos Vargas, 26, and Cruz Azul reached a mutual agreement to terminate his contract, even though his contract was signed until December 2026. Vargas, who joined the club on January 18, 2023, is now a free agent. He made no appearances in the Liga MX Apertura this season and has yet to be capped for the Mexican national team.
