Hartlepool United have signed defender Calvin Okike on a one-month work experience loan from Championship side Hull City. Okike holds Nigerian and English nationalities. The 17-year-old, who can play at both centre-back and left-back, arrives from Hull City's academy system where he has played for their Under-18 and Under-21 sides. The move is intended to provide the defender with senior experience and strengthen Hartlepool's defensive options. His contract with Hull City expires on June 30, 2026. Manager Nicky Featherstone stated that Okike has strong attributes, is athletic, and has the right mentality for senior football.
