Athletico is interested in defender Cacá returning from Corinthians, with initial talks having started between the two clubs. The initial information regarding the negotiation was first reported by journalist Monique Vilela of Rádio TMC and was subsequently confirmed by ge. The 26-year-old Brazilian defender was previously with Athletico in 2023 on loan from Japanese club Tokushima Vortis. He joined Corinthians the following year under a similar arrangement. The move to Corinthians was made permanent at the start of 2025, with a contract that runs until the end of 2028. Cacá's current market value, according to Transfermarkt, is €1.70m. His transfer from Tokushima Vortis to Corinthians in January 2025 had a reported fee of €3.9 million.
