After only one year, Brynjar Ingi Bjarnason is leaving SpVgg Greuther Fürth and joining Sönderjysk Elitesport, a Danish first division club. Fürth's sporting director Daniel Meyer stated that Bjarnason's decision for a change came after he dealt with several injuries last season, and that he would have started the new season as a challenger.
