Buckley Town have signed 19-year-old Welsh goalkeeper Bryn Owen on loan from The New Saints for the 2026/27 season. Owen, who left the Racecourse Ground in 2025 for Park Hall, served primarily as an understudy to Nathan Shepperd and Jack Edwards. His single senior appearance for TNS came as a substitute in a 2-0 loss to Colwyn Bay in March. The move is expected to provide Owen with his first chance at regular first-team football, and he is anticipated to challenge for the number one position. The goalkeeper stated he was delighted to join for the season and was very enthusiastic to be part of what he feels will be an exciting year for the club. His contract with The New Saints is due to expire in June 2026.
