Sporting director Andrea Catellani has said that offers were received for Nieling and that Wolfsburg was insistent in their interest, adding that Modena had no intention of selling a player like him in January.

Modena rejected a three million euro offer from VfL Wolfsburg for 23-year-old Dutch Centre-Back Bryant Nieling in the last days of the transfer window. The player, who joined Modena in July 2025 and is under contract until June 2028, is now regarded as a player who could be sold for a significant fee in the future. This season in Serie B, Nieling has scored two goals in 19 appearances. His current Transfermarkt market value is €3.00m.
