Venezia, fellow Serie A club Torino, and German side Wolfsburg showed interest in signing 23-year-old Bryant Nieling during the summer. However, both the player and his club decided against a transfer. Modena's directors, Nereo Bonato and Andrea Catellani, maintained their intention not to open negotiations for the Dutch defender, whom they consider a fundamental part of the team. Nieling confirmed that he spoke with the club during the transfer window and that his intention was to continue there, and he also stated that he was happy to have stayed at Modena. The centre-back joined Modena in July 2025, and his contract is set to expire on June 30, 2028. His current market value is €3.50m, according to Transfermarkt.
