According to Spanish publication Fichajes, Chelsea are willing to submit an opening offer worth €75 million for the Newcastle captain. Guimaraes has less than two-and-a-half years remaining on his current contract. The publication also states that the Blues hierarchy are working to finalise a bid that will suit all parties.

Speaking on talkSPORT, pundit Martin Keown named Bruno Guimarães as a player who could be the next significant player to leave Newcastle. Keown warned that Guimarães could depart if Sandro Tonali is sold this summer, comparing the situation to Alexander Isak's exit the previous year. The Brazilian central midfielder has previously been linked with clubs including Arsenal, Chelsea, Barcelona, and PSG and is contracted at Newcastle until June 2028.
