QPR have become new suitors for Oxford United's Northern Irish right-back Brodie Spencer. The Championship club has expressed an initial interest in returning the 22-year-old to the Championship after Oxford United's relegation at the end of the previous campaign. There is interest within QPR's boardroom in signing Brodie Spencer. Spencer signed what is described as a long-term deal, which may place Oxford in a strong position if negotiations advance. An ongoing transfer embargo at Oxford United is currently prohibiting new head coach Aaron Ramsey from strengthening his squad until January, and an agreement could be difficult to arrange with the club. Spencer has 23 caps for Northern Ireland. He made 53 appearances in the Championship last season, scoring one goal and providing one assist. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €1.50m. West Bromwich Albion have also been linked with a move.
