Ferencváros maintains a strong interest in Breno Almeida, a 28-year-old Brazilian Neftci Baku winger who has started the season with eight goals and two assists in eight matches. Ferencváros attempted to acquire the player during the summer, but the sale was not approved by Neftci's coach. Almeida moved to Azerbaijan from the Cypriot club Ethnikos in February. It is also suggested that the Hungarian club might make another attempt to sign him in the winter. His contract with the Azerbaijani club runs until June 2028, and his current market value is €600k according to Transfermarkt. He moved to Neftchi for a reported fee of €200,000 in February 2026. Paphos and PAOK have also been linked with the player.
