Brandon Williams, a 25-year-old former England U-21 international left-back, is on trial with Rotherham United. The club was relegated to the fourth tier of English football last season, and Williams is attempting to revive his career. He has been training with the club since the start of pre-season preparations and featured in the second half of a friendly match against Parkgate last Friday. This trial follows a brief period at Hull City, which he joined in August of the previous year, 14 months after his release from Manchester United. His contract with Hull was mutually terminated in February of this year after he made a single five-minute appearance as a substitute. Williams previously made 51 appearances for Manchester United between 2019 and 2023 and also had loan spells at Norwich and Ipswich. His current market value is €800k, according to Transfermarkt.
