Goal.com reports that Brandon Williams has signed a short-term contract with Rotherham United after an extended trial period. Williams officially joins Rotherham after working at the club's Roundwood training base throughout pre-season and into late October, where he demonstrated his fitness to Steve McClaren, Alex Bruce and the coaching staff. The club had initially decided against offering the free agent a contract in August, but he continued working at Roundwood. Williams' last competitive match was in August 2025 during a brief period with Hull City. The defender last completed 90 minutes on loan at Ipswich Town in November 2023, before leaving Hull six months into a one-year contract following a five-minute appearance in a 3-0 Championship defeat to Blackburn Rovers. Rotherham boss Bruce praised Williams' dedication and noted that he had worked with the club since pre-season without being paid.

Brandon Williams is training with Rotherham this summer. Coach Alex Bruce explained that Williams is training with the club and stated that they will continue to observe him. Bruce thinks Williams has been pleased with his time there so far. The coach also said they will give him time, improve his fitness, and then try to make a decision when both parties are satisfied.

Brandon Williams, a 25-year-old former England U-21 international left-back, is on trial with Rotherham United. The club was relegated to the fourth tier of English football last season, and Williams is attempting to revive his career. He has been training with the club since the start of pre-season preparations and featured in the second half of a friendly match against Parkgate last Friday. This trial follows a brief period at Hull City, which he joined in August of the previous year, 14 months after his release from Manchester United. His contract with Hull was mutually terminated in February of this year after he made a single five-minute appearance as a substitute. Williams previously made 51 appearances for Manchester United between 2019 and 2023 and also had loan spells at Norwich and Ipswich. His current market value is €800k, according to Transfermarkt.
