Brandon Powell Transfer from Blackburn Rovers U21 to Barrow
League Two Barrow have signed Blackburn Rovers defender Brandon Powell on loan from the Championship club until the end of the season. Brandon Powell said he has known of the interest for a while and is pleased the transfer is complete, adding that he is eager to get started. Powell also said the conversations he has had with the manager have been positive. He mentioned the manager has been telling him about how he will fit in the team and how he will impact the team.
Blackburn Rovers have agreed a deal for Brandon Powell to join Barrow on loan for the rest of the season. Powell is 20 years old and recently made his Championship debut against Swansea City. According to The Lancashire Telegraph, he is set to join the League Two club. Powell was not included in the squad against Watford because key players were returning from injury, and he scored for the Under-21s on Monday. The transfer is expected to be confirmed before the weekend, which could enable him to make his debut at Swindon Town. The English-American attacking midfielder signed for Blackburn in July 2024, and his contract runs until June 2027. During the 2025/2026 season, he has scored five goals and provided two assists in 10 Premier League 2 appearances, as well as one assist in his one Championship appearance.
