Venezia has communicated that an agreement has been reached with FC Südtirol for the permanent transfer of midfielder Bjarki Steinn Bjarkason. FC Südtirol specified that Bjarki Steinn Bjarkason signed a three-year contract with the club, which is valid until June 30, 2029.

Bjarki Bjarkason, who was not included in Venezia's plans after their promotion to Serie A, is scheduled to join SudTirol. According to Trivenetogoal.it, SudTirol's sporting director Matteo Lovisa has reached an agreement with Bjarki Bjarkason, and the player is expected to be in Bolzano the next day for contract signing and medical examinations.

According to Tuttomercato, SudTirol is increasingly close to reaching an agreement with Venezia for the transfer of Bjarki Bjarkason. The Icelandic player is not part of Venezia's plans following their promotion to Serie A. He is expected to leave the club, for which he made 76 appearances and scored four goals.

While Venezia is making efforts to sell players and reduce its squad size, Südtirol has shown appreciation for the 26-year-old veteran Icelandic midfielder, Bjarki Bjarkason. The Iceland international joined Venezia in September 2020 and has a contract until June 2027. It is also reported that Südtirol is interested in his Venezia teammate, goalkeeper Alessandro Plizzari. Bjarkason has seven caps for his country, and his current market value is €700k, according to Transfermarkt.
