21-year-old midfielder Bertram Kvist is transferring to Union Saint-Gilloise. A youth product of Brøndby where he did not break through, Kvist played for second-division sides Kolding and Esbjerg before joining Næstved. Last season, he scored five goals and provided nine assists in 32 matches in the Danish third division. The player is expected in Belgium on Friday to undergo a medical examination. If successful, he will sign a contract until the summer of 2028 with an option for one more season. Kvist is planned to initially join the U23 team to adapt to the higher level, a similar path to the one taken by compatriot Mads Skøtt who was also signed from the Danish lower leagues a year ago.
