Benjamin Pavard Transfer from Inter to LOSC Lille
There is a rumor about Benjamin Pavard returning to Lille OSC. Olivier Létang, the president of Lille, ironized about the possibility, stating he called Pavard and expressed his desire for him to return, but acknowledged that the economic considerations make it impossible at the moment.
Benjamin Pavard is not part of the plans of the new coach Cristian Chivu at Inter Milan, increasing his chances of leaving the club this summer. He is on the radar of Marseille, Lille, Galatasaray, and Neom. Pavard wishes to stay in Europe, likely aiming to participate in the 2026 World Cup with France. The relationship with Inter's management is tense, and he might not be included in the Champions League squad if he doesn't find a new club this summer.
LOSC has identified Benjamin Pavard as their top defensive target and is keen to bring him back to the club where he played from 2005 to 2016. The club acknowledges the difficulty of the move but is determined to sign him as their second 2018 World Cup champion, following Olivier Giroud. The anticipated transfer fee ranges between 15 and 25 million Euros, while Pavard's current salary at Inter is 5 million Euros net per season. As a contingency plan, LOSC is also considering Diego Carlos from Fenerbahçe should they be unable to acquire Pavard. Reports from the Italian press suggest that an offer between 20 and 25 million Euros might persuade Inter Milan to part with Pavard, though some sources indicate that a bid of 15 to 20 million Euros could also be sufficient. With Galatasaray expressing interest in Pavard as well, the competition for his acquisition has intensified. In the event that LOSC cannot secure Pavard, they have already advanced significantly in negotiations with Diego Carlos as an alternative option.
