Altach sporting director Philipp Netzer said in a statement that with Benjamin Böckle, they are gaining a player from the region who already knows the league extremely well and brings a great deal of experience despite his young age. Benjamin Böckle said it feels special to be able to play in the Bundesliga in his home region. He stated that as he grew up in Vorarlberg, he is particularly pleased to now play for SCR Altach. The player added that the long-term contract shows him the club believes in him and he wants to justify that trust with his performance on the pitch.

Laola1.at reports that the transfer of Benjamin Böckle to SCR Altach is official. Altach confirmed the signing on Thursday evening. The 24-year-old left-back signed a contract with the Vorarlberg club until 2029. A return to the region for the Dornbirn-born player had become apparent in recent days, although Rapid coach Johannes Hoff Thorup initially opposed the move before a change occurred on Thursday midday.

Kurier reported that Benjamin Böckle is set to transfer to SCR Altach and that the transfer fee is said to be in a manageable range.

According to Krone.at, Benjamin Böckle is close to signing a contract with Altach and will very likely move to the club. It is not yet clear whether Böckle will join on loan from Rapid or on a permanent transfer. His contract with Rapid Vienna expires in a year.
