Universitatea Craiova has decided to part ways with Basilio Ndong, a 26-year-old left defender from Equatorial Guinea, even though his contract is valid until 2026. The decision comes due to increased competition for his position, with Nicușor Bancu and Florin Ștefan being preferred. The club will amicably terminate the contract, as reported by Fanatik. Ndong played a total of 49 matches for Craiova but only managed one assist and was an unused substitute in all three league matches this season. His market value is currently estimated at €400k by Transfermarkt.
