The former Jagiellonia Białystok player stated that talks with Porto occurred, and the club said they were monitoring him for a potential future move that would be dependent on his development. Mazurek also revealed that Porto had advised him that securing regular playing time would be difficult and that he would likely be a rotation player. He explained that this led him to choose a move to Red Bull Salzburg instead, a decision he feels was correct. Mazurek, who has 11 caps and two goals for Poland's U19 team, joined the Austrian club on July 1, 2026, signing a contract until June 30, 2031. His market value is currently rated by Transfermarkt at €4.50m, and Benfica were also understood to have been interested in signing him.
