Bart Schenkeveld has left Panathinaikos after six years. He was considered a 'soldier' of the club, having celebrated two Cups (2022 and 2024) and worn the captain's armband for a significant period. He joined the club in the summer of 2019, brought in by then technical director Nikos Dabizas, with a contract of just over 200,000 euros per year. Schenkeveld leaves as a friend and is regarded as one of the most important foreign central defenders of the last 25 years for the club.
