Axel Disasi Transfer from Chelsea to Monaco
Axel Disasi revealed that Monaco, his former club, were interested in signing him this summer. Disasi pushed for an exit from Chelsea and hoped the club would find a solution to allow him to leave on loan. He stated, 'I pushed until the last minute to go to Monaco!' However, Chelsea was not able to get the deal done, and the move failed. The article also notes Chelsea had already maxed out their allowed number of loaned players.
French defender Axel Disasi was close to sealing a return to AS Monaco, having already given his agreement to the French club. However, the deal began to unravel following Chelsea’s own squad management issues. In particular, Chelsea was forced to reassess their stance after striker Nicolas Jackson’s loan to Bayern Munich was finalised. That outgoing move filled Chelsea’s final available slot under FIFA’s international loan quota, making it impossible to sanction another departure abroad without breaching regulations.
AS Monaco is planning to bring Axel Disasi back to the principality. According to FT information, the Ligue 1 representative is currently negotiating with FC Chelsea to explore a possible loan. Disasi is no longer part of the Blues' plans, and Chelsea is open to a transfer.
Disasi’s former club, Monaco, are keen on a reunion with the 26-year-old but it’s unclear at this stage whether he would like to go back. Chelsea haven’t received any contact from Monaco either to date. Juventus made an initial enquiry for Disasi but a move to Turin looks unlikely now that Veiga is heading there instead and will be playing at centre-back. More late suitors will need to come forward in order for Chelsea to find a solution for Disasi this month.
