Olympiacos have acquired Thanasis Christopoulos, a 19-year-old defender for the U19 national team who has also played for the U17 and U16 sides. The left-footed player, who can play as a full-back or a centre-back, was released from Legia Warsaw, where he won the Polish U19 championship last season. Christopoulos, who came from the Asteras Tripolis academy, is expected to formally belong to Olympiacos by the evening and is initially intended for their U19 team. He impressed the club's officials during a friendly match in Rentis between the national U19 team and Olympiacos.
