Lyngby have stated that they have bought 21-year-old striker Asbjørn Bøndergaard from Silkeborg IF. Bøndergaard has signed a five-year contract with Lyngby. According to information from Bold, an agreement was reached on a transfer fee of 500,000 euro, which is 3.7 million kr, after intense negotiations between the two clubs. The transfer makes Bøndergaard the most expensive signing in Lyngby's history. The club's sports director, Nicas Kjeldsen, was very satisfied with the purchase.
After Lyngby teased the arrival of a Silkeborg player on Wednesday, Bold reported that the signing is 21-year-old Danish striker Asbjørn Bøndergaard. According to information from Bold, a transfer fee of 500,000 euro, or 3.7 million kr, was agreed upon following intense negotiations between the two clubs. This makes Bøndergaard the most expensive purchase in Lyngby's history, exceeding the previous record of 400,000 euro paid for Andri Gudjohnsen. The striker, who was a subject of discussion for FC Fredericia in the summer after a successful loan spell there last season that helped the club gain promotion to the Superliga, will now join Lyngby on a permanent deal. Bøndergaard, who has been capped once for the Denmark U20 team, joined Silkeborg in July 2023 and had a contract with the club until June 2027. He has made 4 appearances in the Superliga this season. According to Transfermarkt, he has a current market value of €700k.
