São Paulo has shown interest in Arthur Chaves and has initiated talks with the 25-year-old Brazilian central defender, who is considered a candidate to leave TSG Hoffenheim. The former Brazil U23 international has 6 caps and spent the second half of the previous season on loan at FC Augsburg, where he played regularly, making 15 Bundesliga appearances and scoring 2 goals. The club apparently considered the fixed purchase fee of six million euros too expensive. Vasco da Gama is also reportedly interested in the defender, whose market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €5.00m. Recent reports from April 2026 state that TSG Hoffenheim is seeking a fee of around €7 million. It was widely reported that Hoffenheim rejected a €10 million to €15 million offer from a Premier League club in February 2025.
