The club is searching for a replacement for Calvert-Lewin, who left after his contract ended a few months ago. There is excitement among some Everton fans about the potential partnership between Dobvyk and the recently acquired Jack Grealish. Dobvyk, a 28-year-old Ukrainian striker currently playing for Roma, might be leaving the club following a less-than-satisfactory period. Despite his record of scoring 17 goals and providing 2 assists in 45 matches last season, concerns have been raised about his struggle to integrate with the team's play style. Roma, preferring a permanent transfer over Villarreal's loan offer with a purchase option, may find Everton's cash offer more attractive.
